We were delighted to see three of our 2015 competition films in the 2015 British Independant Film Award Nominations. Created in 1998, The Moët British Independent Film Awards celebrates & promotes achievements in British filmmaking. Here we spotlight three films screened in competition at the festival which have made this prestigious shortlist...
MANOMAN, SIMON CARTRIGHT
Screened in our legendary Late Lounge programme, Manoman is a ten minute animation by Simon Cartright. The film tells the story of Glen, who when attending a primal scream class, releases something from deep within that knows no limits…watch the trailer below:
LOVE IS BLIND, DAN HODGSON
Screened as part of our 2015 Love themed short programmes, this very funny short gives a fresh look on the conventional love triangle..watch the trailer here:
EDMOND, NINA GANTZ
This beautiful and moving animation won our NextGen Skills Academy Best of British Award for Animation. The film tells the story of Edmond and his impulse to love and be close to others is strong…Maybe too strong.
