Catherine Allen

Catherine Allen is a VR producer and curator who led the creation of two of the BBC's first VR experiences and providing her expert op-eds, comment and analysis to outlets including Wired magazine, The Guardian, Gizmodo, Tech Radar and Tech Crunch. She is part of the BAFTA VR advisory team, sitting on the education committee, and has judged VR for both Sheffield Doc Fest and Raindance film festivals. Catherine produced the BBC’s first VR documentary, Easter Rising: Voice of a Rebel, which has toured festivals globally, showed for six weeks at the National Theatre in London and was described by Broadcast Magazine as 'genre-defining'. Before VR, Catherine worked at acclaimed educational app publisher, Touch Press; winning a BAFTA on the Disney Animated app, with Disney Interactive.

Bill Thompson

Bill Thompson is a well-known technology journalist and advisor to arts and cultural organisations on matters related to digital technologies. He has been working in, on and around the Internet since 1984, and was Internet Ambassador for PIPEX, the UK’s first commercial ISP, and Head of New Media at Guardian Newspapers where he built the paper’s first website. Bill appears weekly on Click on BBC World Service radio and writes for a range of publications. At the BBC he handles partnerships for Make it Digital. He is a member of the boards of Writers’ Centre Norwich and Britten Sinfonia, and a Visitor at Southampton University. In 2016 he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Arts by Anglia Ruskin University. He manages the website Working for an MP (w4mp.org)

Carrie Wootten

Carrie Wootten is one of the team leading on the KTN’s new cross sector network for immersive technologies, 'Immerse UK'.

She has worked extensively across the digital media, film, design and arts landscape, developing and delivering new business strategies in order to generate income, as well as attracting high profile partnerships for educational institutions such as Ravensbourne, where she spent 7 years within a senior management role.
Her clients have ranged from Mozilla and the BFI through to Barclays, Ogilvy and the Cannes Film Festival. She has produced several high-profile industry related events, led on multiple European programmes for SMEs - including the development of an incubation programme - as well as managing CPD training initiatives and specific client led projects.
