UK’s Leading Film Mentoring Scheme Unveils New Cohort Of Rising Talent
More than 250 candidates applied for sought-after places on the acclaimed scheme, which aims to equip participants with the skills and contacts they need to take their careers to the next level. Successful mentees must demonstrate a solid track record in their fields, and the potential to help shape the creative landscape of the future.
The scheme, now in its seventh edition, offers participants nine months of one-to-one mentor support from established film professionals, as well as invitations to industry training and networking events.
The new participants hail from across the UK, and from a range of creative backgrounds. Their work has been shown at festivals including Sundance, SXSW, LFF and Hotdocs, and awards and industry accolades include 2 BAFTAs, 2 Oscar nominations, the Berlinale Audience Award, Encounters’ New European Talent Award, Kodak Showcase Best Short Film, The Arthur Scott Prize for writing and more.
