How to get to Encounters and where to stay
Encounters 2017 takes place in central Bristol, UK. The main venue is Watershed.

Bristol is an easily accessible city with good road, rail and air links.
Bristol has an international airport. Regular Bristol Flyer buses from Bristol Airport can take you to Bristol Temple Meads station, Bristol City Centre, or the airport is around a 25 minute taxi ride from central Bristol.
Visitors travelling by train should arrive at Bristol Temple Meads station. We do not advise visitors to travel to Bristol Parkway as this is on the outskirts of Bristol, and you will need to get a further connection onwards to Bristol Temple Meads. Bristol Temple Meads station is situated in central Bristol, and a 15 minute walk or short taxi ride from our main harbourside venues Watershed and Arnolfini.
Trains from London to Bristol Temple Meads take approximately 1hr 45 minutes. There are good rail networks from all over the UK. For times, fares visit First Great Western here.
Bristol is situated with good road access from all over the UK, and is situated at the intersection of the M4 and M5 motorways off the M32.
