Why Support Encounters?

The support of our sponsors and supporters enables us to deliver the UK’s leading short film and animation festival, and helps us to make our festival the best it can be.

Encounters Festival offers a selection of long term promotional and development opportunities for sponsors from screenings, to talent development to Educational sponsoring.

We offer a range of bespoke opportunities which every year allow our sponsors and supporters to reach public audiences of over 9,000, including several thousand emerging creatives and around 700 film, animation and creative industry attendees from across the world.

To discuss sponsorship of the festival and how this could benefit your organisation download our Encounters_Sponsorship 2017 or please contact marketing@encounters-festival.org.uk.

What some of our our Supporters say:

“With the massive shift to viewing video content on-line, the short film is becoming increasingly important as the conventions of broadcasting fall away. Encounters Festival is a great way to find out what is going on at the leading edge of short film-making, before it becomes mainstream. It provides an opportunity to meet the emerging talent who are embracing this new age and the new technologies. Encounters also provides a forum to discuss and debate the many issues in this changing media world,  and it’s also a place to learn.  Altogether it’s a wonderful package of events for those entering or immersed in the world of film and media.”

“Here at NextGen Skills Academy, our focus is on developing the next generation of talent for the creative industries by educating young people about the opportunities that exist in the games, animation and VFX sectors.  Encounters Festival provides the perfect platform to do this by bringing together established Bristol-based professionals and allowing them to share their knowledge and expertise with emerging creative talent. To be part of such a celebration of both animation and the short film genre is very special.”

“Sponsoring Encounters Festival was a fantastic way to launch YellowDog into the UK market, and helped raise our brand’s profile amongst the Industry and emerging talent.  Through the showcase and networking opportunities, we were able to meet and speak with the delegates, and were also very pleased to know we were supporting a vital part of the UK film and animation Industry.  We are looking forward to working with them again.”
