The AniJam is a creative challenge in which animators and artist are challenged to create a short film in just 48 hours. To make that sound less daunting thats a whole 2880 minutes. 48hrs to create an animation from start to finish? Sound Crazy? Well it probably is, buy hey that's the whole fun of it.

Animators are invited to participate in this years AniJam which will take place between noon on Friday 22nd July and noon on Sunday 24th July. Participants in the AniJam will be encouraged to create an original animation based on a specific theme which will be announced at the event briefing. Then as soon as the clock ticks 12 its time for the creative juices to start flowing along with probably a whole host of sweat and tears.

All successfully completed films will then be screened on the Big Screen in millennium square and at an upcoming Show Me The Animation event. The winning film will also be screened at the Encounters Film festival in September. If that’s not incentive enough this year’s winning team will receive delegates passes to Encounters festival in September and all participating teams will receive 50% off delegates passes.
