For the last 10 years Unchosen has been raising awareness of modern slavery through the power of film. They ran a modern slavery-focused Film Competition and two key projects called Films Against Slavery and Stay Safe From Slavery. In 2018 the charity closed and Encounters were bestowed with the archive in order to carry on Unchosen’s legacy by using film to influence the social change we all hope for – to end modern slavery.
