UWE_FILM (BA Hons Filmmaking at UWE) will be screening a selection of its recent graduate work in an event hosted by Programme Leader Freya Billington.
A mix of drama, documentary and experimental work, several of the films have already been selected for festival screenings including the prestigious upcoming BFI London Film Festival. Covering all aspects of Film and Moving Image Production, the course benefits hugely from its location in Bristol, UNESCO CITY OF FILM, and enjoys relationships with companies including Bottleyard Film Studios, BBC N.H.U., Films@59, Aardman and Icon Films. Working closely with the Watershed and it’s programmer Mark Cosgrove, has enabled special student screenings and Q&A’s with internationally acclaimed directors like Paddy Considine (Journeyman), Andrey Zvyagintsev (Loveless) and Gurinder Chadha (Viceroy’s House) alongside regular Industry Guest Lectures on campus.
The screening will be followed by drinks in the bar and a chance to chat with the teaching team recent graduates and current UWE_FILM students so come hear about our upcoming plans for increased world domination and check us out here: @UWE_FILM, or find us on Facebook and Vimeo.
