iFeatures is back for 2016
iFeatures is back for its fourth year! Creative England's prestigious film-making initiative is supported by the BBC, the BFI and Creative Skillset - opening the doors of the British film industry to talented film-makers from across the UK.
iFeatures is looking for creative voices with bold visions – essentially UK filmmakers who have an interest telling stories set in the English regions (outside the M25!) – to make low-budget feature films with the financial backing of the partners involved.
The scheme is aimed at creative talent that has some professional experience, someone whose work has already garnered positive industry and/or public attention. Applicants should be able to evidence a successful track record in shorts, television, online drama, theatre, commercials, music promos, documentary, Artist Film & Video or other related media.
Submissions for iFeatures4 will open on Monday, 8 February 2016, with three roadshows for prospective applicants taking place in Sheffield, Birmingham and London from the week starting 1 February which you can register for now. The submission process will close on Tuesday 29th March 2016 at 6PM.
iFeatures will then develop a slate of 12 projects from up and coming writer, director and producer teams, leading to three films being greenlit in 2017, each with a budget of £350,000. The partners will fully-finance these films, with the BBC pre-buying UK free TV rights.
